Gabby Barrett is the 18-year-old high school student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania competing on American Idol. For her Top 14 performance, she sang the Miley Cyrus song “The Climb” and nailed it. After Gabby’s performance, judge Luke Bryan told Gabby it was “my favorite performance of the night.” Katy Perry was impressed with the whole Gabby package. She told Gabby, “You went through the star wash,” meaning she looks like a star already on stage. Lionel Richie agreed and told Gabby, “A star is born.”
We agree that Gabby has star power (talent and style) but she’s looked gorgeous from the get-go. Check her out wearing those black faux leather leggings at her Idol Audition below. And Gabby looked just as glamorous as Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles when they sang together for the All-Star Celebrity Duets (see photo below). American Idol airs Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
