Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk is famous for putting in long hours. Indeed, it’s no guarantee that Musk will leave the office in the evening, preferring to work through the night and catch a quick nap on the couch in his conference room at the Tesla Fremont factory.
But people were astonished to see that Musk’s utilitarian, rock hard, narrow couch wasn’t just a little more comfortable. When photos of Musk’s office couch surfaced in a recent CBS profile, jokesters even started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to by poor Elon a new office sofa. (Musk admits it’s so uncomfortable that sometimes he sleeps on the floor.) Hey, Musk is 6’2″ so maybe a new sofa is just what he needs to make Tesla’s hard road a little easier. A better couch, Musk gets better bang for his z’s and Tesla gets a more rested CEO. The stock will probably soar if Musk takes delivery.
