The 36th season of Survivor returns to Fiji. On “Ghost Island,” 20 new castaways will discover Survivor idols and advantages from past seasons. Each one represents a mistake made by previous Survivor players. The new castaways will try to “reverse the curse” in order to win the $1 million prize. One of the oldest contestants is 33-year-old furniture maker Wendell Holland from Philadelphia. Host Jeff Probst is a big fan. He says Wendell is likable, smart, has skills, a great sense of humor, and he can play the social game. His life experiences will certainly be an advantage among the young ones including real estate agent/model Michael (18) and fishing guide Sebastian (22).
Before opening his own custom furniture business Beve Unlimited, Wendell was a lawyer (J.D., University of Pennsylvania). Before law school, Wendell graduated from Morehouse University (Class of 2006). On campus he was known as “the tee shirt guy” because he ran a business out of his dorm selling hand-painted t-shirts. Today Wendell makes his cool custom furniture with reclaimed wood. Check out the photos below. Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8pm on CBS.
