The Hallmark movie Winter’s Dream is set at a ski lodge in Bliss Valley. When widower Ty (Dean Cain, Superman) arrives with his 16-year-old daughter Anna (Lizzie Boys), who’s getting ski lessons at the lodge, he meets former ski champion Kat. Ty is handsome and charming but is literally trying to juggle too many things at the same time. Eventually, Anna asks to work with Kat on the slopes, and Kat falls for her father off the slopes.
[Swanson was the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer]
Kat is portrayed by Kristy Swanson. She’s known for her roles on Psych (Marlowe Viccellio), Knots Landing (Jody Campbell) and in the films Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Buffy), Flowers in the Attic (Cathy), and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Simone), among others. (Also, Lifetime’s recent Bad Stepmother.) Swanson will appear next on the big screen in the sci-fi thriller Jessica Frost with former Psych co-star Corbin Bernsen. Winter’s Dream premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, January 27 at 9pm.
