In the Modern Family episode “In Your Head,” while Luke (Nolan Gould) goes missing after a night out, Haley (Sarah Hyland) is desperate to land an interview with the creator of a popular lifestyle website. So much so that she barges into one of Alex’s (Ariel Winter) classes at college. Alex’s professor, Arvin Fennerman, tries his best to give Haley a piece of his mind.
Professor Arvin Fennerman is portrayed by Chris Geere. The British-born actor is known for his roles on FXX’s You’re the Worst (Jimmy Shive-Overly), BBC/Showtime’s Ill Behavior (Joel), and on British TV shows including Trollied (Richard France) and Waterloo Road (Matt Wilding), among others. On a personal note: Geere is married to musician Jennifer Sawdon. They have a 5-year-old son named Freddie. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC, right after Speechless, and right before American Housewife.
