On The Rap Game episode “Quit Biting My Style!”, mentor and music producer Jermaine Dupri admits that “in hip hop, your look is probably 50 percent part of your success.” So he gives his five aspiring rappers a test. They need to show up at a photo shoot rocking the look they need to make it. JD says, “I’m hoping the kids get really really creative.”
14-year-old Jordan from Tulsa, Oklahoma says the photo shoot experience is helping him “to step out of the box.” And Street Bud’s mother proudly says at the shoot, “My child looks like a rock star.” (And he’s just 11 years old!) When JD shows up at the shoot, he barely recognizes the kids. “Is this the same group I had last week?” he asks. Clearly impressed with the makeovers, Dupri says, “I didn’t expect this at all.” The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
