In the two-hour season premiere of Sister Wives, husband Kody Brown is excited about becoming a grandfather. His daughter Madison (with wife #2 Janelle) and her husband Caleb had a boy, Axel James, in May 2017. But it’s not all smooth sailing. His first wife Meri (his wife of 27 years) announces that she and Vicki have been talking about buying a house together. While Meri says “it brings happiness” to her (it is a gorgeous house), the idea of her owning her own property (it’s a Bed and Breakfast) is disruptive. Wife #4 Robyn asks, “What does this mean to the family?”
No one knows for sure. In therapy with Meri, Kody says, “We’re like a divorced couple.” And he admits “I don’t know what’s next, and it makes me what to cry.” Meri says she’s just trying to take care of herself “because no one else will.” Sister Wives airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
