Sap! is a line of beverages made from sap tapped from Vermont’s finest Maple and Birch trees. Sap! is pitched as a healthy alternative to sugary soda (and only 80 calories per can). The seltzers are only 40 calories. Sap! can be used after workouts for prime hydration, and as a fun cocktail mixer. Sap! comes in three flavors: Maple Seltzer Water, Maple Soda, and Birch Sparking Soda. The two cousins behind Sap! — Nikita Salmon and Chas Smith from Vermont — are pitching their business on Shark Tank on January 28. They’re seeking an investment of $600,000 in exchange for 12 percent equity.
[Packs of SAP! are on sale at Amazon]
You can buy cases of Sap! online for $48.99. And there’s a Shark Tank special — a mixed 12-pack for $27.99 (about $2.30 per can). On Amazon, 16-packs are selling for $34.99 (see link above). At that price, each can is about $2.19 — less expensive than the Sap! mixed 12-pack. Sap! reminds us of Parker’s Maple, a company that makes syrup and Maple Cotton Candy and Maple Butter, although Parker’s Maple didn’t get a deal on Shark Tank. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 9) air Sundays at 9pm and 10pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite Shark Tank Products — New List]
