In the Designated Survivor episode “Line of Fire,” it’s Christmas Day and no one is caroling at the White House. While President Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) implores a group of religious extremists to evacuate their cabin due to an approaching forest fire, the First Lady (Natascha McElhone) finally gives her testimony to FBI Director John Forstell. “One way or another, this investigation ends today,” says Mrs. Kirkman.
Forstell is portrayed by Reed Diamond. He’s known for his roles on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Daniel Whitehall), Wayward Pines (Harold Balinger), Franklin & Bash (Damien Karp), The Mentalist (Ray Haffner), Bones (FBI Special Agent Hayes Flynn), Homicide (Mike Kellerman), Judging Amy (Stuart Collins), and 24 (Jason Pillar) with Kiefer Sutherland, among others. Designated Survivor airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC, right after Modern Family.
