In the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode “Intent,” the team investigates an online hoax which led to the rape of social media star Katy Miller (Gage Golightly). One of the people they talk to is professional boxer Andy “The Monster” McPherson. He tells Tutuola (Ice T) and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) he had a date with Katie the night before and yes they did have sex but he says, “it was rough but it was consensual.” Then he shows the detectives a text from Katie the morning after saying “pay me $10,000 or I tell the cops you raped me.”
Andy “The Monster” McPherson is portrayed by Steve Howey. The 6’4″ tall actor is known for his roles on Shameless (Kevin Ball), Sons of Anarchy (Hopper), and Reba (Van Montgomery, see link above), among others. Howey is also recognized for his roles as Kate Hudson’s love interest in two films — Bride Wars and Something Borrowed.
