Keen Home makes wirelessly connected air vents that fit into existing floor, wall and ceiling air vents. Instead of using one thermostat to control all the vents in your house, you can control the temperature of each room, each vent, by using a smartphone. The founders of Keen Home, NYU MBA grads Ryan Fant and Nayeem Hussain, pitched their business on Shark Tank in February 2015. After receiving a number of offers, Fant and Hussain made a deal with Robert Herjavec who they said was “all in” — $750k for 13 percent.

After Shark Tank, Hussain told Forbes: “We successfully negotiated a different deal with Robert. While the terms of our deal are confidential, I will say that the deal ensures that Robert is a long-term partner. And Keen Home enjoys regular interactions with the Herjavec Group.” He added that Herjavec’s team has helped promote Keen Home and they’ve “leveraged Robert for introductions to new distribution partners.” New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
