The late King of Pop Michael Jackson was often seen with his chimpanzee companion, Bubbles. In the animated TV film Michael Jackson’s Halloween, Bubbles is a bellhop in a mysterious hotel called This Place Hotel. He guides two young people — Vincent (Lucas Till, MacGyver) and Victoria (Kiersey Clemons, Extant) through their self-discovery journey. Bubbles has a bigger public profile than one might suspect. Besides being one of the stars of Michael Jackson’s Halloween, Bubbles the Chimp gets a star turn in another movie too: Netflix will release an animated film titled Bubbles, which tells “the offbeat story of iconic singer Michael Jackson from the perspective of his beloved chimp Bubbles.”
The Bubbles character in Michael Jackson’s Halloween is voiced by Brad Garrett. The 6’8″ tall actor known for his roles on Bull (Bull’s lawyer Ron Getman), Fargo (Joe Bulo), The Crazy Ones (Gordon Lewis), How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life), ‘Til Death (Eddie Stark), and, of course, Everybody Loves Raymond (Robert Barone), among others. The three-time Emmy Award winner is also a prolific voice actor: Bloat in Finding Nemo, and Gusteau in Ratatouille, to name two. He will provide the voice of Eyeore the sad donkey in the 2018 film Christopher Robin with Ewan McGregor as the title character. Michael Jackson’s Halloween airs Friday, October 27 at 8pm on CBS. Bonus: Garrett played a very convincing Jackie Gleason in 2002.
