In the Season 2 premiere of This Is Us, “A Father’s Advice,” it’s the Big 3’s birthday. While Randall (Sterling K. Brown) tries to figure out his next career move (remember he quit after his father’s death), Kevin (Justin Hartley) tries to have it all (career and relationship with his ex), and Kate (Chrissy Metz) “pursues a new passion.” Kate’s boyfriend Toby (Chris Sullivan) is in the picture, and he looks thinner. The actor who plays Toby, Chris Sullivan, wore a fat suit and prosthetic jowls for the first season of This Is Us. But after Toby’s heart attack, Toby is forced to lose weight and voila, Sullivan doesn’t have to wear the fat suit and jowls anymore. This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
