The stage of Steve Harvey’s Funderdome is going to smell delicious on September 17. Two comfort food-related products are vying for an investment. First up is Grilled Cheesus, a sandwich press that grills the face of Jesus on grilled sandwiches. Second is Flaky Bakes, an assortment of small, fruit-filled pies the size of cookies aka “piekies.”
Flaky Bakes inventor/baker Lateshia Dowell of Farmington Hills, Michigan, sells six different kinds of piekie: Caramel Apple, Cinnamon Apple Roll, Peaches & Cream, Pecan Pie, Strawberry, and Sweet Potato. The are sold by the dozen ($24) and are made to order. Deliveries are made only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Steve Harvey’s Funderdome airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
