Many talented seniors have appeared on Little Big Shots: Forever Young, but Johanna Quaas will leave the audience stunned when she performs on the stage. The 91-year-old gymnast from Germany lifts and holds her body horizontally on the parallel bars like an Olympic athlete. U.S. gold medalist Simone Biles will attest to Quaas’s Olympian style on the show with host Steve Harvey.

Like Biles, Quaas started training in gymnastics at a young age. She was 9 years old when she appeared in her first competition (1934). Later in life she trained gymnast coaches at the Institut für Körpererziehung, and in 1963 she married gymnast coach Gerhard Quaas. They have three daughters together. In 2012, Johanna Quaas was added to The Guinness Book of Records (2012) as the oldest gymnast in the world. In 2016, Quaas was inspired by the Queen Elizabeth helicopter stunt at the Olympics opening ceremony, so in the Queen’s honor, Quaas went parachute jumping. See video below. Little Big Shots: Forever Young airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on NBC.
