Donald Trump isn’t too happy with the country’s top lawyer, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, even though Trump selected him. But odds are the president is going to like some US Attorneys he’s chosen — after all in Trump’s first six months in office he has nominated 23 people for US Attorney positions so far. That’s more than most administrations have managed so quickly.
Trump’s 80-year-old sister Maryanne Trump Barry is a former federal judge who served as assistant US attorney for New Jersey and also as Executive Assistant United States Attorney and as First Assistant United States Attorney — so he knows the legal territory. The latest round of nominees includes Bryan Schroeder of Alaska, Charles Peeler of Georgia, Ronald Parsons Jr. of South Dakota, Byung Jin Pak of Georgia, Douglas Overbey of Tennesee and Mark Klaassen of Wyoming.
