Jean Veloz is the 93-year-old swing dancer on Little Big Shots: Forever Young. She became famous after performing in the 1943 musical comedy film ‘Swing Fever’ (Lena Horne played herself in the film — see video below). In interview also below, Veloz says her mother got her interested in dance — first with tap and ballet and then the jitterbug kind of dancing. Veloz says her mother was still dancing, just a day or two before she died at the age of 94.

Veloz says she’s very lucky to have had the career she did and to know at a very young age exactly what she wanted to do with her life — to dance and entertain. Little Big Shots: Forever Young airs Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
