Former NBA star Dennis Rodman is being coy about whether he has any semi-official capacity or the blessing of President Trump during his latest trip to North Korea. But it sure does seem like a challenge Trump might send a celebrity like Rodman to do on his old show, Celebrity Apprentice. (Rodman appeared on Celebrity Apprentice in 2009 and 2013.) “Our diplomacy stinks,” one can almost hear Trump saying, “And Dennis is a terrific guy.” Rodman, refusing to deny he was on a Trump mission told CNN: “I’m pretty sure [Trump’s] happy at the fact that I’m over here trying to accomplish something that we both need.”
It is Rodman’s fourth trip to North Korea; his first three occurred during the Obama administration. The US State Department isn’t an official sponsor of Rodman’s trip, despite his claims to be pursuing diplomacy. But that’s not to say the trip has no sponsors: PotCoin, a digital currency created to support the burgeoning legal marijuana business, is sponsoring Rodman’s trip.
I’m back! Thanks to my sponsor https://t.co/zBtIFz1QBr. #NorthKorea #PeaceAndLove https://t.co/G7t6PX3WV9
