In the Teen Mom OG episode ‘Viva Las Vegas’, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier go to Vegas to elope. But when they reach the famous little white chapel, Amber calls her brother Shawn aka Bubby to ask if he would be mad if she got married in Vegas and had a ceremony somewhere else later. He says, “Well, ya know, it’s kinda not cool.” He adds, “You’re a big girl. At the end of the day, I’m not making your decisions for you. It’s not my life.” That’s all Amber needed to hear to pull the plug.
Matt is clearly disappointed with Amber’s decision. While he tells her “I understand 100 percent, it’s perfectly fine,” he also says, “I will say what your brother just did to you is wrong.” Amber whispers, “Don’t talk about my brother like that… on TV.” Before walking out of the chapel, Matt tells the producer, “I will not marry her now, ever. I’m not gonna let her brother dictate my life.” When the producer tries to explain that Amber just wants her family to be there. Matt says, “She wants to marry her brother. That’s what she wants.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9pm on MTV.
