Peter Wachtel of Los Angeles, California is the inventor of Jump Stix, a scooter with a built-in pogo stick. He’s pitching his idea on The Toy Box (May 5). This isn’t Wachtel’s first toy invention. He’s helped develop more than 500 toys and products as “Chief Creative Kid” at Kidtoyology including the Business In a Box game for Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club, an animated series that features billionaire Warren Buffett as “a mentor to a group of entrepreneurial kids whose adventures lead them to encounter financial and business problems to solve.”

The Pratt Institute graduate and design teacher certainly has the resume to bring a toy to market but will Jump Stix make it through to the kid judges? The Toy Box airs Fridays at 8pm on ABC, right before Shark Tank.
