In the ESPN series Hey Rookie, Welcome to the NFL, draft prospect Juju Smith-Schuster, a wide receiver from USC, is profiled. (He left USC after his junior year to enter the 2017 NFL draft.) JuJu ran well at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis (his best 40-yard dash is 4.54). After seeing him run, former NFL kick receiver turned Sports Illustrated writer Bucky Brooks says he could see JuJu fitting in well with the Cincinnati Bengals (with wide receiver A.J. Green), the Baltimore Ravens (“they need a rugged playmaker” like JuJu), or the Tennessee Titans.
Brooks was impressed that the 20-year-old Smith-Schuster has only played the wide receiver position for three years. “He’s only going to get better with more time,” says Brooks. Hey Rookie, Welcome to the NFL airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm on ESPN.
