ABC is celebrating Shark Tank hitting its $100 million investment milestone by featuring the show and its Shark investors (everyone but Lori Greiner is interviewed) on ABC 20/20 on February 24 at 10pm, right after the latest episode of Shark Tank.
The one company billionaire Mark Cuban says he regrets not investing in is The Bouqs Company which sells flowers directly to consumers online. The Bouqs Company founder John Tabis pitched his business on Shark Tank in 2014. All five Sharks passed even though The Bouqs Company reported doing $2 million a year in sales. Barbara Corcoran said she hated the name. Some didn’t like the idea of customers having to wait days before delivery. Robert Herjavec said he thought Tabis did “a bad job” presenting the business. But three years later, when Herjavec was planning his wedding to his Dancing with the Stars partner Kym Johnson, Herjavec called Tabis to ask why flowers are so expensive. After Tabis explained the marketplace, Herjavec took part in The Bouqs Company’s last round (they raised $24 million). P.S. You can now order flowers via The Bouqs Company for same-day delivery. ABC 20/20 airs Fridays at 10pm on ABC.
