Riad Bekhit and Alex Craig of Dallas, Texas are the two young entrepreneurs behind Potato Parcel, the company that writes personalized messages on uncooked potatoes and sends them via the U.S. Post Office — just like postcards. Riad and Craig pitched Potato Parcel on Shark Tank (wearing potato costumes) and made a deal with Kevin O’Leary — $50,000 for 10% equity and a $1 royalty fee for up to $150,000.

Since then, Potato Parcel is said to have inspired a number of personalized vegetable delivery businesses including Eggplant Mail. The owner of Eggplant Mail said: “The purpose of this business is to help people send disturbing phallic eggplants to their haters, lovers and mothers.” Eggplant Mail, which encourages anonymous messages as pranks, has delivered more than 16,000 eggplants (at $11.99 each). Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
