LeBron James got tired of holding his tongue and lashed out at Charles Barkley this week after Barkley criticized him again. James made a number of distinctions between his career and Barkley’s and told a reporter “all I’ve done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that.” Barkley had called James “whiny” saying “the Cavaliers have given him everything he wanted” and James wasn’t satisfied.
If there’s one thing the two NBA greats agree on, it’s that James isn’t satisfied. James will be the first to say it. The difference is Barkley wants James to express his dissatisfaction differently — apparently with less “whining.” Barkley went on the radio (Waddle & Silvy) after James hit back and Barkley reiterated his “whiny” charge. “I stick by what I said, I’m not going to make this personal. He was all whiny last week,” Barkley said. “I’m not upset about it,” Barkley said, “my criticism was fair and I’m good with that.”
