In the Bar Rescue episode “I Know What You Did Last Summit,” Jon Taffer travels to Lakewood, Colorado to check out Summit House Grill & Tap. According to the sneak peek video, Josh Lubliner the absentee owner “puts his marriage on the line by drinking away his financial sorrows and flirting with the female clientele.” It’s not a new scenario but this owner is passing out drunk at the bar. His wife Alexia says “Before Summit House, Josh was happier, more involved with his family” now he’s “locked in a depression spiral which he can’t seem to pull himself out of.” They’re losing $4500 a month right now which puts their ultimate debt to $750,000.

On a separate note, Summit House failed FOX31 Denver’s Restaurant Report Card “with 14 critical violations found during surprise inspections in April and December 2016” including “moldy lemons” and “no soap at the hand sink.” When a FOX31 TV crew returned in January 2017 to follow-up, they were allowed into the kitchen to see that the violations had been corrected. Bar Rescue airs Sundays at 10pm on Spike.
