Ronnie DeVoe is portrayed by Keith Powers. His mother Flo DeVoe is portrayed by La La Anthony. As an actress she’s known for her roles on 50 Cent’s Power (LaKeisha Grant), Unforgettable (Delina Michaels), Single Ladies (Presley Kearse) and Charm School with Ricki Lake (Dean), among others. Anthony is also recognized for her roles in the Think Like a Man movies (Sonia) and Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq (Hecuba). Anthony is married to NBA New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. New Edition: The Movie Part I airs Tuesday, January 24 at 8pm on BET.
