Jon Staff and Pete Davis are the couple behind Getaway, a travel company that rents out tiny houses on a private campground in the Catskills in Upstate New York and outside of Boston, Massachusetts (aka Southern New Hampshire). Their beautiful, modern tiny homes are havens where people can disconnect and recharge for a night or a weekend. Jon and Pete want to take their cool idea and make it a national phenomenon; that’s why they’re pitching their business on Shark Tank (January 27).

There are currently 7 tiny houses in New York (the largest, The Pine Lodge, sleeps up to four people). Night rates vary by day of the week. The Pine Lodge is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at $99/night; $129 on Fridays and Saturdays. There are 4 cabins in the New England area but where exactly they are is kept a secret “until shortly before each booking so guests can have a surprise and spontaneous experience where they’re able to focus on getting away to the woods and can leave behind the stresses of vacation planning (looking up restaurant reviews, local tourist traps, etc).” Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
