In yet another sign that anything can happen, President-elect Donald Trump and Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren seem to agree on something. Both avid Twitter users took to the platform to say they thought the move by Congressional Republicans to weaken Office of Congressional Ethics was misguided — or at least poorly executed. For Trump it was a question of priorities: though he expressed dissatisfaction with the way the Ethics office works (“unfair”), Trump tweeted that Congress would do better to focus on “tax reform, healthcare and so many other things of far greater importance.”
Sen. Warren likewise asked the GOP to explain “who, exactly, thinks the problem with Washington is that we have too many rules requiring the gov to act ethically?” Warren implied that the GOP move, which came without warning or external debate, was clandestine, saying the #HouseGOP is “gutting its ethics office in the middle of the night.” So far, this ethics move appears to be the single instance of agreement between Trump and Warren.
Tell us, @GOP: Who, exactly, thinks that the problem with Washington is that we have too many rules requiring the gov to act ethically?

With all that Congress has to work on, do they really have to make the weakening of the Independent Ethics Watchdog, as unfair as it

……..may be, their number one act and priority. Focus on tax reform, healthcare and so many other things of far greater importance! #DTS
