In the Modern Family episode ‘Snow Ball,’ the whole extended family pitches in at a winter holiday gala at Manny’s and Luke’s high school. While the boys indulge in shenanigans, their mothers Claire (Julie Bowen) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) try to set up an overbearing mother named Marjorie Bayer with the school principal (Andrew Daly).
Marjorie is portrayed by Vanessa Bayer. The University of Pennsylvania graduate is currently on Saturday Night Live (Miley Cyrus, Brecky). Bayer is also recognized for her role as Nikki in Amy Schumer’s 2015 film Trainwreck. You can see her next on the big screen in Office Christmas Party with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC.
