Pat Yates founded Happy Feet, a line of fun plush slippers, in 1996. In 2014, he appeared on Shark Tank and made a deal with Robert Herjavec ($375k for 25 percent). Since the Shark Tank episode aired, Happy Feet made a licensing deals with DreamWorks (so whenever one of their hit animated movies like How To Train Your Dragon is released, there are Happy Feet slippers to go with it). Happy Feet also made deals with the NFL, NBA, NCAA, and TV personality Snooki from Jersey Shore (she’s crazy about animal prints).
