Fox News anchor and sometime Donald Trump political bete noir Megyn Kelly already had a bestseller on her hands with her memoir Settle For More. But news that she’s added a chapter detailing her encounters with ousted Fox News chief Roger Ailes is adding fuel to the book’s fiery sales figures. Radar Online reports that the new chapter dishes on Kelly’s uncomfortable encounters with Ailes.
It’s unclear which forces — commercial or ethical or both — compelled Kelly to add the Ailes chapter to her book — especially since her book was already ranked in the Top 10 at Amazon even before its publication date. (Ailes has denied any misconduct during his long, seminal tenure at Fox.) Ailes’ lawyer responded to the news of Kelly’s new chapter by quoting Kelly herself, in a conversation with talk show host Charlie Rose.
Kelly: “I really care about Roger. And he has been nothing but good to me. And he’s been very loyal. And he’s had my back. And he’s looked out for me.”
