Shark Tank is trying a new social media tactic to engage viewers at home. On the night before the Shark Tank episode featuring EcoFlowers, a company that makes and delivers flowers made of wood and recycled materials, ABC posted a video on Facebook of Barbara Corcoran asking viewers if they would invest in the company. (It’s followed by a sneak peek at the EcoFlowers pitch.)

Within 12 hours, the Shark Tank Facebook page was flooded with hundreds of comments from repeat customers saying they would invest and testimonials about how much they love the product, the company, and the founder, Meagan Chapman. And for the few who wrote that they wouldn’t invest, there is an EcoFlower “I disagree” response. One evoked a plea from founder Chapman (see below). Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
