In the Gotham episode ‘Mad City: Look Into My Eyes’, while Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) throws his hat in the ring for mayor, and Bruce’s doppelganger causes great confusion in the city, hypnotist Jervis Tetch aka the Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel), rolls into town. Tetch hires Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to help him find his sister Alice.
Alice is portrayed by Naian Gonzalez Norvind. The Mexican-born actress recently portrayed Caitlin in Greg Pierce’s “Her Requiem” at Lincoln Center. She also had a role in the 2016 indie film Mr. Pig with Maya Rudolph and Danny Glover, a drama filmed in Mexico. Norvind is the daughter of Mexican actress Nailea Norvid and the granddaughter of Eva Norvind, the Norwegian-born actress, filmmaker and dominatrix. Naian graduated from the Sorbonne where she studied modern literature and cinema. She also studied Shakespeare at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art. Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
