On the Season 4 premiere episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NYPD Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) are living their new lives in Florida under the Witness Protection Program. They try to blend in. Jake gets his hair frosted and travels by ATV while Holt joins a walking group led by a woman named Estelle.
Estelle is portrayed by Rhea Perlman. The Brooklyn-born actress is known for her roles on The Mindy Project (Danny’s mother Annette Castellano), Kirstie (Thelma Katz), Pearl (Pearl Caraldo), and Cheers (Carla Tortelli), among many others. She married actor Danny DeVito in 1982; they have three children. Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
