Marti Wymer of Salt Lake City, Utah is the founder of Spoonful of Comfort, a company that delivers Chicken Noodle or Tomato Basil (Mushroom coming soon!) soup overnight. “If you can’t mail a hug, this is the next best thing,” says the website. The idea for the business came to Wymer when her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Wymer remembers feeling helpless being so far away. “I looked into sending flowers or fruit, but nothing seemed appropriate. I wanted to show her how much I cared, and in some way comfort her.”
