Brad Scudder and Rob Dickens are the two entrepreneurs from Boston, Massachusetts behind Rugged Maniac, a successful obstacle-course business. They pitched their business on Shark Tank in 2014 and negotiated a deal with investor Mark Cuban — $1.75 million for 25 percent of the company. Rugged Maniacs has since expanded to 28 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

After a recent 5k run in Atlanta, Georgia, one muddy man named Jesse Winn (an E7 master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force) got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Savannah Flaherty. (She said yes.) Winn explained why he chose the Rugged Maniac run as the spot to propose by saying: “Savannah deserves … one in which we aren’t all dressed up and at our best, so Savannah knows that it’s not just her beauty that I love.”
