On the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood episode ‘Mama Beef,’ pregnant Masika Kalysha is visited by her ex Fetty Wap (aka Willie Maxwell II). When Masika first announced her pregnancy, Willie publicly denied that the baby was his. Before they meet, Masika says: “Part of me is anxious, part of me is ambivalent, part of me wants to give him a big hug, and part of me wants to punch him in the face.” She can’t decide which of the four is the strongest emotion.
When she sees him, she hugs him. “I want to be her father,” Willie says. “I want to be the one when she gets older to say, ‘that’s my daddy.’” When Masika asks what changed, he said, “I just had to man up.” She’s still apprehensive. “The fact that he’s even acknowledging it is very helpful. We’ll see.” Love & Hip Hop Hollywood airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
