Industrial designers Chelsea Briganti and Leigh Ann Tucker met at Parsons School of Design where they both graduated in 2010. Together they created Loliware, a line of edible, biodegradable flavored cups. (It’s a tasty solution to Americans throwing away 25 billion plastic cups every year.) Briganti and Tucker pitched their business on Shark Tank in October 2015 and got more than they asked for ($150k). They accepted an investment of $600,000 from Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban in exchange for 25 percent equity of Loliware.
