Bryan DeLuca and Matt McClard are the founders of Foot Cardigan, an eclectic sock of the month club subscription company. They made a memorable splash when they appeared on Shark Tank in 2015. On the show, they agreed to an investment with Mark Cuban and guest shark Troy Carter — $250,000 for 20 percent equity.

After the airing of the episode, Foot Cardigan sold nearly 90,000 pairs of socks within the next five days, and welcomed 7,000 new subscribers. While Foot Cardigan continues to design and sell tons of fun socks – check out the new line of United Socks of America featuring Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, and Hillary Clinton – the deal with Cuban and Carter fell through. A Foot Cardigan spokesperson said: “After discussion off-camera, the deal was not closed. However, they all left the table amicably. Even though the deal did not close, Foot Cardigan still experienced great success from the media coverage received from being on the show.”
