Amateur hockey player Matthew Podolak of was 31 when he suddenly died in 2006. The autopsy revealed he had consumed the main ingredient found in antifreeze. The mother of Podolak’s two children, Holly McFeeture, was found guilty of poisoning Podolak in 2012. According to the prosecution, McFeeture had added antifreeze to his red raspberry iced teas for weeks.

The two children who have lost their parents are living with McFeeture’s family. The Podolaks have not seen the children in years. “We want them in our lives,” says Matt’s mother. “We want them to know who their dad was.” Meanwhile, McFeeture’s sister Christa has made sure the children sees their mother in prison. On the Team Holly Facebook page, Christa occasionally posts photos of the children’s visits with McFeeture in prison where she is serving a life sentence with the eligibility of parole after serving 30 years.
