On the Season 2 premiere of Cutting It: In the ATL, while Dedra plots revenge against Maja Sly, Maja goes at it with Mushiya, her rival in the natural hair product world. At a beauty event, Maja tells Mushiya (who’s sitting on Maja’s friend’s car) to go sell her goods somewhere else — but that kind of talk just prompts Mushiya to take her promotional antics to another level. (Spoiler alert: a giant yellow python snake is involved.) Whatever Mushiya is doing works. Even Maja admits on the show, Mushiya’s followers are multiplying.
If you’re looking to watch a show about a group of talented female entrepreneurs “Leaning In,” then Cutting It may or may not cut it for you. Depends on if you think business is more about ripping the competition, or promoting yourself. Cutting it seems to specialize in the first one. Cutting It: In the ATL airs Thursdays at 10pm on WEtv.
