US Senator Cory Booker, the Democrat from New Jersey, was interviewed on CNN and asked if he was being vetted for Hillary Clinton’s vice president running mate spot. Booker denied it in June but on July 4, he didn’t deny it. “If you have a question like that, please direct it to the Clinton Campaign,” he said. That said, Booker added, “What I do know is that on the Democratic side there are many fabulous candidates. People that could be really strong vice president candidates.”
One of those fabulous candidates could possibly be Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass). Two weeks ago, while in Washington, DC, Cory Booker took a selfie with Warren and Kamala Harris who is running for Senate in California, “who I hope will be my colleague in January” wrote Booker. But he really poured it on thick for Warren: “Senator Warren and I have partnered on many issues and measures from efforts to improve public education, to working to bring diversity to public pension management. Most recently we partnered on retirement security making sure that financial planners, advisors and their firms must act in the best interests of their clients (The Fiduciary Rule).” That’s a lot of words — the selfie is worth a thousand of them.
