Antonio Sabato, Jr. — soap opera star and Donald Trump supporter — doubled down on his “birther” credentials after speaking at the Republican National convention. Despite widespread debunking of the related theories that President Obama is a Muslim and that he wasn’t born in the U.S., Sabato still thinks otherwise. “That’s what I believe, and I have the right to believe that. He grew up in that world. That’s what he comes from,” Sabato told ABC News after stating that “we had a Muslim president for seven and a half years.”
How does Sabato know this? “It’s in my heart,” the actor said, saying that Obama was “with them… not with us.” Sabato implied that no one can convince him that Obama is not a Muslim. “That’s what I believe, and I have the right to believe that,” he said.
