In the new AMC drama Feed the Beast, when Dion Patras is released early from jail, his best friend Tommy Moran (David Schwimmer) is there to pick him up. Dion, a former coke addict and professional chef, convinces alcoholic sommelier Tommy to pursue their dream of opening an restaurant together. Against all odds, they open a place in the Bronx.
Dion Patras is portrayed by Jim Sturgess. Americans will recognize the 38-year-old English actor from his roles in the films Cloud Atlas with Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, One Day with Anne Hathaway, The Other Boleyn Girl with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson, and the Vegas casino heist film 21 with Kate Bosworth and Kevin Spacey, among others. American will see him in the forthcoming TV mini-series Close to the Enemy with Angela Bassett (it originally aired on BBC, and has been picked up by Starz). Feed the Beast airs Saturdays at 10pm on AMC.
