In the TV special “The Ranch: Home of an American Sports Dynasty,” NBC provides a look inside Karolyi Ranch in Huntsville, Texas. The ranch is the National Team Training Center for the U.S. women’s gymnastics team. It’s run by USA Olympic team coach Bela Karolyi (former coach of Nadia Comeneci, Mary Lou Retton) and his wife Martha Karolyi. Gymnasts Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman will be interviewed.
The Ranch also runs a summer camp for female gymnasts of all levels. Girls must be at least 7 years old. Directed by Bela Karolyi, the summer camp offers four sessions (the next and final session is from June 28 to July 3). Each session costs $645 for residents of Texas. If you’re interested in the summer camp for 2017, registration starts November 3. The Ranch: Home of an American Sports Dynasty will air on Friday, June 24 at 8pm on NBC.
