Facing a two-year suspension from playing professional tennis, Maria Sharapova is turning lemons into lemonade. She’s enrolled to study at Harvard Business School. Sharapova is already the owner of the successful company Sugarpova but as any entrepreneur knows, there’s no such thing as learning too much.
When the news was announced, former professional tennis player James Blake wrote: “Good luck. Word of advice, don’t touch the statue of John Harvard. Trust Me.” Blake, who was supposed to graduate in 2001 left Harvard University after his sophomore year to pursue a career in professional tennis. At the time, in 1999, Blake was the nation’s No. 1 ranked college player.
