In the TV movie Broken Promise, a teenager couple break into a mansion to have a little fun. When the owner sneaks up on them and shoots the boy, Reese, in the leg, the girl, Mina (Ashley Scott plays adult Mina), hits the man over the head with a two-by-four, accidentally killing him. Reese takes the blame and spends the next 20 years in jail. When he gets out, he tells Mina, “You owe me.”
Reese is portrayed by Louis Mandylor. The Australian born actor is best known for his role in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding movies as Nick Portokalos (Nia Vardalos’ brother). He’s also recognized for his roles on the TV series Martial Law (Detective Louis Malone), Nash Bridges (Ray Goetz), Can’t Hurry Love (Roger Carlucci), Grace Under Fire (Carl), and Down the Shore (Aldo Carbone), among others. Broken Promise premieres on LMN on May 22 at 8pm. It will air again on May 23 at 12am, June 7 at 8pm, and June 8 at 12am.
