In The Odd Couple episode “Road Scholar,” Felix (Thomas Lennon) asks his friends to teach him how to drive. He wants to surprise his girlfriend Emily (Lindsay Sloane). Surprised and hurt, it turns out, is Oscar (Matthew Perry), who wasn’t asked to teach Felix. While behind the wheel, Felix runs into a police officer.
The officer is portrayed by Robert Ben Garant. He’s known for his roles at Deputy Travis Junior on Reno 911! (with Thomas Lennon) and various characters on MTV’s The State. Garant was a creator and writer on both shows. Garant and Lennon are also known as the writing team responsible for the Night at the Museum movies, and authors of the book Writing Movies for Fun and Profit: How We Made a Billion Dollars at the Box Office and You Can, Too! The Odd Couple airs Thursdays at 8:30pm and 9:30pm on CBS.
