In the Chicago P.D. episode “Justice,” a hooded gunman opens fire on the patrol car of Officers Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty), leaving Roman wounded. When Burgess chases after the perp, she finds who she thinks is the perp and shoots. Turns out the person she shot (he survived) was a 17-year-old honor student who says “that lady cop shot the wrong kid.” State Attorney Mark Jefferies (Carl Weathers) and ASA Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) have been assigned to the case. They get the help of investigator Lori Nagel.
Lori Nagel is portrayed by Joelle Carter. She’s known for her roles on Scandal (Vanessa Moss), Justified (Ava Crowder), Constantine (Jasmine Fell), Grey’s Anatomy (Mary Rolich), Body of Proof (Andrea Davidson), Third Watch (Tori), and Wonderland (Heather Miles), among others. Carter is also recognized for her roles in the films High Fidelity (Penny Hardwick), American Pie 2 (Natalie), and in the indie film Swimming (Josee). Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC.
