The TV movie Hearts of Spring is about Carly Ashby, a famous mommy blogger who finds herself challenged by a reader who disagrees with the parenting advice she’s dishing out. Meanwhile, when not online, Carly falls for a single dad doctor, Dr. Andy Sommers (Michael Shanks), who turns out to be the reader who disagrees with her advice.

Carly is portrayed by Lisa Whelchel. She’s best known for her rich girl, boarding school role as Blair Warren on The Facts of Life. Since then she’s appeared on Survivor (2000), in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas (Nancy Porter), and the TV movie For Better or For Worse. Fun fact about Whelchel, before The Facts of Life, she was a member of the 1977 New Mickey Mouse Club, and she’s a trained ventriloquist. Hearts of Spring will premiere on Hallmark Channel on April 9 at 9pm. It will air again on April 10 at 3pm and April 16 at 7pm.
